- Can you print on normal paper with a thermal printer?

No. Thermal printers require thermal till roll, as the printer writes using heat, which works more effectively on receipt paper designed for this purpose, instead of ink or impact printing. However, the benefit of thermal printing is that you don’t need to supply the printer with anything except the till rolls!
