2.7 Pop up notes

 This section allows you to add popup notes; popup notes are typically used for adding small reminders to specific products or categories i.e. “would the customer like to add warranty to this product?”.

Where to find the popup notes section

1. Log into your Back Office with your username and password
2. Select MANAGE (left hand side)
3. Select Popup Alert (located under the Products tab)

Adding a popup note

1. Within the Popup Alert section, select ADD POPUP NOTE (top right corner)
2. On the following page, enter a name for the popup note
3. Enter a message i.e. “would the customer like to add warranty to this product?”
4. If you are going to apply this popup note to multiple products but would only like the popup note to show once per transaction, enable the Show Once Per Transaction checkbox
5. Select ADD (bottom right corner) or ADD ANOTHER if you have more popup notes to add

Assigning the popup note to a product or category

You will now need to assign the popup note to a product or category, this is so that popup appears on the Front Till when the related product or category is selected.

Product

1. Head to the Product List section (located under the Products tab)
2. Under Show additional information, enable the Show Till Details checkbox
3. Located the product you would like to assign the popup note to and select EDIT
4. Scroll to left until you see the POPUP NOTE tab (use the drop down menu to select the popup note)
5. Scroll to the right and select UPDATE

Category

1. Head to the Categories section (located under the Products tab)
2. Locate the category you would like to assign the popup note to and select EDIT
3. Scroll to the left until you see the POPUP NOTE tab (use the drop down menu to select the popup note)
4. Scroll to the right and select UPDATE

The popup note will now appear on your Front Till when the associated product or category has been selected.

Deleting a popup note

1. Head to the Popup Alert section (located under the Products tab)
2. Select the red X next to the popup note you wish to remove

The popup note will be removed from your Back Office and will no longer be associated with a product or category.
