4.1 Adding Suppliers
Adding a supplier
Adding a supplier to your stock can be necessary when using your Epos Now Back Office to track your stock.
- Log into your Epos Now Back Office
- Select MANAGE (left hand side)
- Select Stock Control
- Select Suppliers
- Select ADD SUPPLIER (top right corner)
- Fill in all relevant information i.e. supplier name, address, email address
Note: Adding an email address to your suppliers will allow you to send purchase orders directly to them. - Select ADD (bottom right corner)
- Repeat this process until all suppliers have been added
Adding a supplier to your products
Once your suppliers have been added to your Back Office, you can assign them to your products.
- Within your Back Office, select MANAGE
- You will be taken to your Product List by default; locate the product you wish to assign the supplier to and select ADVANCED
- On the following page, scroll down until you see the Stock Adjustment section
- Under the Location tab, select the location the stock will apply to (using the drop down)
- Under the Current Stock tab, enter the amount of stock your have for this product
- Under the Min Stock and Max Stock tabs, enter the minimum and maximum stock you need for this product (this field is not mandatory and can be left blank)
- Tick the Alerts box if you would like this product to show in your Stock Warning report when the product reaches the minimum stock level (this will only work if you have a minimum stock level set)
- Under the Reason tab, select the reason for the stock being added (using the drop down)
- Under the Staff tab, select the staff member adding the stock (using the drop down)
- Under the Supplier tab, select the supplier you would like to assign to this product (using the drop down)
- Select ADD
- Repeat this process until all relevant products have a stock level and a product assigned
Reporting
Your suppliers will be included within multiple reports on your Back Office. Your suppliers will be visible on all stock reports, you can view these reports by following the steps below:
- Within your Back Office, select REPORTING (left hand side)
- Select Stock
- Select any of the following reports:
- Stock Levels
- Stock Warnings
- Stock Discrepancies
- Non-Selling Stock
- Stock History
- Stock Changes
Note: Once a supplier has been assigned to a product or included within a purchase order, the supplier cannot be deleted from your Back Office.
